A Flea in Her Ear:
by Georges Feydeau
adapted by David Ives
directed by Brian Parkinson
Feydeau’s classic farce involving a complex series of mistaken identities, clandestine assignations and misplaced but explosive jealousies, all happening at breakneck speed. The update by Ives into the twentieth century serves to heighten the sexual allusions which make the play so hilarious.
A Flea in Her Ear stars David Abbott, Fernanda Aguilar, Tyra d’Costa, Tanya Elchuk, Brian Hinson, Eric Keogh, Jeff Kopp, Bill McNaughton, Adam Manfredi, Jordon Navratil, Christine Reinfort, Matthew Ramer, Yasmin Tayob and David Wallace.
A Flea in Her Ear is directed by Brian Parkinson, with lighting design and technical direction by Alexander Forsyth, set design by Chris Bayne, costume design by Linda Begg, and sound design by Brian Parkinson. It is stage managed by Jillian Burke with assistant stage management by Alyssa Mawussi and Linda Gray, and is produced by Linda Begg with assistant producer Donna Webb.
“What could be more fun than a farce? And such a wonderful one at that! If you don’t know A Flea in Her Ear you are in for a treat. If you’ve seen it before you know you want to see it again! We are so excited to be able to present this show, three years in the making.” – Sarah Rodgers on A Flea in Her Ear from United Players of Vancouver.
